Observing Lent and the Easter Triduum in Your Congregation
Saturday, Feb 2 (10am – 3pm) at Renison College, Waterloo
You'll begin the day with a presentation on the powerful themes of the Lenten season and the Easter Triduum. Choose which workshop you will attend in the afternoon:

  • Planning liturgies for Lent and the Triduum with The Rev'd Dr. D. Jay Koyle
  • Preaching Lent and the Triduum with The Rev'd Canon Dr. Todd Townshend
  • Harry Potter, Lent and the Triduum (preaching) with The Rev'd Victor Kruger Kischak

You may be surprised to learn that some of the best guidelines for nurturing spiritual health in our hectic world come from the wisdom of a 6th century monk. Or you may already be acquainted with Benedictine spirituality and living and want to learn more.

God invites us, as individuals and faith communities, to serve others with the gifts and abilities God has given us. Spend a day reflecting on:

  • gifts and talents
  • places where you currently invest your gifts, time, and energy
  • God's invitation to you at this point in your life or the life of your congregation
  • tools and approaches for individuals and congregations to use to assess gifts, and needs, and match people and ministries
