A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN WINDS
DOWN ACROSS THE DIOCESE
$8.5
million in gifts and pledges so far!!
In an update released September
20th by the office of Stewardship & Financial Development
it was announced that the Survive & Thrive Campaign has now
achieved $8.5 million in gifts and pledges. Most parish campaigns
are now complete with two winding down this fall and two parishes
to run their campaigns in the first quarter of 2002. With these
returns still to come we anticipate that the final amount raised
will be in the range of $ 8.7-$8.8 million.
We are grateful to all parishes for their participation,
hard work, and commitment to the goals of the campaign and to Bishop
Spence's vision for the future ministry of the Anglican Church
in Niagara.
The Reverend David M. Ponting,
Director of Stewardship and Financial Development, reminds the
parishes that have not yet completed their campaigns that we
still have a long way to go in order to cover all the obligations
the campaign has to parishes and to recover all expenses. Every
donation, every visit, is still vitally important to our final
success. The continued work to build upon our success will help
ensure that, at the end of the day, we maximize the amount available
towards the $8 million allocated for parish-based ministry in
the case for support.
The Financial Development office continues to solicit major gifts to
the campaign as it enters its final phase. If you are in a parish that
has completed its campaign but have not yet made your personal gift to
Survive & Thrive we need and would be most grateful for your support.
