Priest, Director of Social Justice Ministries
St. James, Dundas
Bill was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario and grew up in nearby Fonthill, where he attended Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Throughout his teenage years, Bill participated in many diocesan youth ministry programs such as YLTP and NYC; and continued that involvement as a volunteer in later years. In 2004, Bill was awarded the Order of Niagara for this ministry. After completing a B.Sc (Hons) degree at McMaster University, where he studied Biology and French, Bill pursued a vocation to ordained ministry by attending Trinity College in the University of Toronto. During his time at Trinity College, Bill completed placements at the Church of the Transfiguration and with the Niagara Health System in St. Catharines, and undertook an internship in the Diocese of the Windward Islands at the parish of St. George's Grenada. He graduated in 2008 with an honours Master of Divinity degree. Since 2007, Bill has been working at St. James Anglican Church in Dundas, most recently as the parish's Assistant Curate. Bill is also active in ministry with the diocese as a Co-Chair of the Greening Niagara Committee, and with the national church as a member of the Partners in Mission and Ecojustice committee. Bill was also a member to Provincial Synod in 2006 and to General Synod in 2007. Most recently, Bill was married to Courtney Evers at a ceremony at St. James in Dundas. In his spare time, Bill enjoys hiking and camping; reading and playing Scrabulous on Facebook; cooking and babysitting his niece Halle.
