- My wife Nancy (retired teacher) who offers me hints of what is truly good
- My two sons: Richard (physics teacher); Robert (Anglican Priest, Diocese of Fredericton) who keep me from growing old too fast
- My two grandsons, who are constant reminders of what is truly important and worth doing
- The Creation whose glory testifies to an even Greater Glory beyond itself
- A written Word that inserts life into a wondrous Context
- Writing about linkages between the physical world and Holy Scripture
- Mentoring a variety of individuals with whom I reflect on what is silly and what is profound
- Laughter; imagination; ice and snow; encouraging students and parishioners to wonder about Mystery
