Susan Westall

Born on 6 Feb 21 in Portsmouth, England. Baptised and confirmed in the Church of England. Intermediate B.Sc. (London University). On active service 1940-46. Emigrated to Canada 1947. B.A. (McMaster 1953), B.Ed. (Toronto 1955). Taught both Elementary and Secondary schools (department head) in Hamilton, Ontario. Retired 1977. Active in church choirs both as soloist and choir director. Lay Reader. Served on parish council, churchwarden, deanery council chair, church secretary, synod council, diocesan committees. Since retirement briefly member of Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association, Society for the Scientific Study of Sex, Western New York Society of Sexuality Professionals, Canadian Sex Research Forum and listed in International Who's Who in Sexology, 1986. Order of Niagara, 2000. Susan passed away on Friday April 17th 2009 and her Rite of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday April 24th 2009 at Christ's Church Cathedral. Her remains are entombed in the Columbarium in the Cathedral. Her writings will remain on this website.
