Born near London, England, immigrated to Canada age 8, "Cradle Anglican" with brief adventures into other Christian denominations for schooling and with friends.
Teacher, hospital volunteer, married Jim Darlington in 1962, farmer (dairy), mother of two (Kevin and Nancie, both teachers married to teachers, three at the same high school), grandmother of four (Emilie, Jacob, Kyra and Cameron), celebrated 45th wedding anniversary in 2007.
Hobbies inclue reading, music, gardening, bird watching (anything to do with nature), sewing, tailoring, needlework (taught for the Canadian Embroiderers' Guild, affiliated with the Royal School of Needlework in London, England).
Special interests inclue liturgy (has written many prayers and services); teaches workshops on Celtic spirituality and the Anglican Rosary; reads widely in other religious traditions, especially Buddhism; mentors other clergy; loves to travel when she can afford it!
