St Thomas' St Catharines
I grew up in a devout and musical farming family. My parents were leaders in a United Church in the Kleinburg Charge where Pierre Berton's The Comfortable Pew was written and debated. I am always looking for new theological ideas and new forms of worship, and I love the traditions of Anglican music.
After years as an English teacher and private school administrator, I have retired to a time of celebrating family and friends, particularly in the roles of wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. I greatly enjoy writing and appreciate the encouragement and discipline provided for columnists of The Niagara Anglican. This year my husband and I are performing a dramatized reading I wrote based on an East Prussian's memoir. Future venues this spring include a Sufi temple in Toronto and a history conference in Missouri.
I'm married to Rev. Dr. Wayne Fraser, the part-time interim priest at St. John's Ridgemount. Our calling is to worship the God of love and life by working for peace, justice and integrity in our parish, in the larger church and on earth as a whole. We like to think of our home as a hearth where others can warm themselves and we try to make decisions that will positively affect future generations.
Your donation will help us thrust the Niagara Anglican into the future - communicating the Gospel and the good news of our Anglican tradition to generations to come.
