The dedication of
The Bishop of Niagara Day Lily

The Bishop of Niagara daylily is a new daylily hybrid produced by The Potting Shed in Cayuga. It is a crimson red flower with a green throat and a fine white line on the edge of the petals. Once established in the garden it is a heavy mid season bloomer. It requires a minimum of 4 hours of sun and more sun is better. A fabulous and unique plant.

Bishop of Niagara DayLily - blooming on Jul 26th 2006!

It takes about seven years to hybridize a new daylily and deep red is a difficult colour to work with but after all that work Jack Kent from the Potting Shed in Cayuga presented the Diocese of Niagara with its own daylily. The Potting Shed will be moving to Dunville and opening there in May. In the meantime, they have a great variety of beautiful Daylilies and Hostas on display in Cayuga.
