Our sympathy to the family of Dave Davies ON, long time active member of St. Alban’s Beamsville, and recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal formerly parishioner of St. Andrew’s Grimsby and Grace Church Hamilton Service will be at St. Alban’s at 11:00 am on Tuesday May 21 He will be missed by his family and his friends at St. Alban’s and elsewhere
Our sympathy to the family of Edith Land,O.N., faithful member of St. Alban’s, Glen Williams, who died on May 14. Service will be held from her parish church on May 17. Please keep the community of Glen Williams in your thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Brian Reusch has accepted the appointment of Program Consultant, Youth Ministry, beginning May 22. Please remember Brian in your thoughts and prayers as he prepares for his position in our diocese. Welcome aboard Brian!
The Reverend Canon Dr. Brian Ruttan has been appointed Interim Pastor at St.John’s, (Port Dalhousie), St.Catharines, beginning June 1.
Archdeacon Michael Patterson has accepted the position of rector of Church of the Incarnation in Oakville beginning October 1. Canon Terry Deforest will be moving into the synod office on a full time basis beginning September 1. You will be hearing more of the slight restructuring of responsibilities in the Episcopal Office in the coming days.
Bishop Michael Ingham announced April 2nd, he will be retiring from his position as Bishop of New Westminster, on August 31st, 2013.
The Venerable Peter Fenty, Executive Officer to the Bishop of Toronto and Archdeacon of York, was elected Suffragan Bishop by the Synod of the Diocese of Toronto. Bishop-elect Fenty will be consecrated on June 22 at St. James Cathedral in Toronto
Canon Gordon Kinkley announced his retirement from full time ministry, and from St. John’s, Port Dalhousie, on May 31. We wish Canon Kinkley all the best in retirement.
The Venerable James Sandilands has submitted his resignation as rector of St. James, Dundas, effective July 31 2013.
