Fresh Expressions in the Diocese of Niagara
A fresh expression is a form of church for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church
- it will come into being through principles of listening, service, incarnational mission and making disciples
- it will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the gospel and the enduring marks of the church and for its cultural context
Attending a Fresh Expressions Vision Day is the first step on the journey to re-imagining church and re-discovering mission. Eighty participants joined Bishop Michael for Niagara’s first Vision Day on May 9, 2009 at St. James Dundas.

Messy Church
Two very successful Messy Fiestas were held in April/May, 2010 (St. George's Georgetown and St. John's Thorold). A Messy Fiesta is a full day workshop to learn about Messy Church. Messy Church aims to create the opportunity for adults and children to enjoy expressing their creativity, sit down together to eat a meal, experience worship and have fun within a church context.
